If you've been paying attention (and we know you have) you have probably noticed that we have been putting a HUGE emphasis on clean + classic lager beers. We know there is no better way to judge the brewing skills of a brewery than through its lagers. While we enjoy making fun, over the top beers, and big, boozy beers, we want to make sure everyone knows that we make DAMN good lagers as well! This is our latest salvo in that effort. Another from our Lager series, this classic style features notes of coffee and dark chocolate paired with a deceptively light body for a refreshing, yet flavorful cold-weather beer.

Pours mahogany-tinged black into an English pint. Mocha micro head with medium retention recedes to pool surface. Dark chocolate and licorice aromas. Medium bodied and dry with cocoa, raisin, prune and clove upfront turning to earthy licorice in the lasting finish.

Pint can split with Drake! Pours clear dark brown, not black. Nose is roasted malt, caramel, brown leaf, hint of buried smoke. Flavor is caramel, roasted malt, light smoke, dry brown leaf, leather in the finish. Not a ton of flavor but solid.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and lightly toasty/burnt malt. Arguably med bodied. Flavor matches the aroma with some herb added. Pretty dry. Pretty toasty. Burnt malt bitter. Good stuff.

16 oz. can from Tavour. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. Burnt pine, rye, chamomile, maple, and toast. Dry and very roasty. Light body, with an acrid, chalky palate. This is a remarkably light, yet abrasive lager.
