50cl Fles van Beer Republic. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Veel gebrande mout, pure chocolade, koffie, gebrande pinda’s, licht metalig, hint van rozijntjes, bitter, glad mondgevoel. Lichte body. Prima stout.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black. Roast, toast, cherry, ash, milk chocolate. Medium body. Nice.

Pint presented on nitro at Henry's Tavern, Portland Airport. Dark and dense jet black pour, tan cream foam. Silk body, cool chocolate notes, toasty mild bitter linger. Chocolate, toasty malt aroma. Really easy drinking, somewhat dry stout. Nitro cream really makes this one slide down the hatch quick. Very tasty.

(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of chocolate, jam; smooth palate; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours dark brn/blk with a huge, huge creamy tan head. Much like an old Guinness pour - I could do a little carving on the top of the foam. Aroma is very roasty dark malt. Burnt toasty even. Med body. It's smoothly oaty with burnt malt, chocolate and maybe a light, light touch of anise. Seems dry. Burnt malt bitter. Excellent.
