Can (5/2/23) pour from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Opaque dark brown with nice sparkle, a few floaties, thin cap of head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong cinnamon, sweet roasted malt and mild vanilla. Taste is strong cinnamon, sweet malt, vanilla. Smooth, thick texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste. Tasty but mostly just cinnamon.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 10/09/23. Black with a good sized tan cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is chocolate, spice, charr, herb, cinnamon, vanilla. Taste comprises roasted bite, charr, dark malts, chocolate, spice, light tonka essence, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a deep dark colored body that supports a thin mocha colored head of bubbles. The aroma offers up a fair load of chocolate covered coconut as well as a bit of malts and a hint of German dark bread. The taste delivers a smooth entrance into soft sweet malts and chocolate malts and then a growing modest roasted maltiness. Throughout there's a persistent cinnamon spice that becomes more apparent the more I think about it. Solid offering.

Pint can. Deep brown color with a modest brown head. Smells sweet with vanilla and cinnamon atop of roasted malt. Lightly sweet up front before the deeper roast takes over. Finishes with a nice bit of cinnamon. Easy to drink and hits the mark for intended flavors.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours translucent dark amber with a decent, creamish beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, vanilla, and something like a baked donut (or churro!). Med body. Flavor is cinnamon and vanilla with a baked dessert carbohydrate aspect. Not white bread for sure! Not dry, but far from sugary/sticky. Not bitter, but the cinnamon subdues the malt. Actually it is tasty and quite nicely done.
