Our latest collaboration is a classic seasonal belter with a modern twist. A dark mild, full of biscuit and toffee malts, beautifully complimented by East Kent Goldings whole-cone hops for a berry & bramble character. We’ve worked with The Tate’s own roastery & with Juliana Guevara (Winner of Best Coffee Exporter, Colombia 2021) to create a cold brew blend that works perfectly with the malty complexity of this beer.

On tap at The Barrel & Horn, Bromley. Black pour with a beige head. Nose is caramel, chocolate, nuts. Taste is caramel, cola, camp coffee, touch of smoke. Malty sweet affair. Not bad.

Can from Utobeer, Borough Market. Aroma had malty chocolate and coffee. Sweet if sour berry edge. Dark opaque brown. Thick foamy beige head. Creamy chocolate. Tangy sour berry streak. Sugary sweetness reasserts that element. The coffee is more obvious in the finish. Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Noice.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours clear brown with a soft, foamy khaki head. Lightly sweet with subtle milky coffee, relaxed roast, a little cocoa and earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance to finish. Tasty, easygoing mild.
