Belgian Christmas Ale - Pours an enticing deep mahogany. Sweet caramelised malts, fruity yeast esters and warming alcohol make this an indulgent and opulent beer, with the hops providing enough balance to make it dangerously drinkable.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep chestnut with cherry red chinks. Tan head. Nose - ginger cake. Dried fruit. Taste - bubble gum, molasses and spiced cake again. Palate - medium bodied. Deep rich and sweet texture. Sweet but still elegant finish. Overall - this is very good. Very authentic and up with many Belgian Christmas classics. Well done, Phil.
