The ninth entry into the Battle Royale series is a special one. Not only because we're using one of our favourite hops we've also teamed up with one of our favourite bottle shops, A Hoppy Place. The owners Golden Retriever is Simcoe and so what better beer to team up on? Sweet passion fruit aromas and flavours, followed up by soft levels of lime and grapefruit. The perfect session slammer.

Keg at the Ascot Brewery taproom, 06/08/22. Hazed golden orange with a good sized off white crown. Nose is grapefruit, grass, melon, light stoned fruits. Taste comprises papaya, tangerine, light pine nip, grass, melon. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Ok pale let down by being over-carbonated.

Keg at PoW, Farnborough. Aroma is sweet sugary fruit. Hazy dull g9ld. Foamy white head. Initial big wave of sweet canned fruit. Underlying fried onions and malts. Develops some low key bitterness. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Hmmm. It's OK. But verging on way too sweet for me.
