After winning The Spare Wheel’s homebrew competition late last year, Saul Jones came to us to brew his ambitious winning recipe: A juicy New England style IPA, but with exclusively English grown hops. Olicana leads the show. This plucky brit of a hop has big mango, grapefruit and passionfruit notes!

Keg at Alehouse, Reading. Aroma is crisp and peachy. Hazy pale peach. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. A tad resinous but it's the sugary fruit that than takes over. Light bodied. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Light and fruity NEIPA.

Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. Opaque gold with a white head. Strongly floral, plenty of grapefruit with some sticky tropical stuff in the background balanced by a crisp bitterness. It's a good'un.
