Draft. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of spices as well as medium notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is very sweet and very spicy combined with medium notes of fruit and cellery, leading to a dry spicy finish.

On tap. Pours a clear dark brown with a tint of orange and a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dried fruit and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, dominated by dried fruit - prunes in particular - and some very pleasant vinous accents, Port that is. A light note of hard roasted malt also. The finish is alcoholic with a subdued bitterness. Excellent and very christmasy, probably the single best new Danish Christmas beer 2008. Wauw! 301108

From tap at YNWA. Pours cloudy deep amber to brown with a diminished white head. Vague butterish nose with a more pronounced spiced profile. Light sweet dark caramel malt flavoured with a light acidic spiced and roasted malt base underneath. Nicely balance between spices, malt and sweetness and good backup by the alcohol. Smooth finish.
