Make Art Not Content is a 5.4% ABV mixed-fermentation Saison made with Coffee, Sage, and Peach Leaves, conditioned with Honey. The beer features Geta Bore, a single origin coffee from Ethiopia, roasted by our friends @metriccoffee here in Chicago, IL. Notes of roasted cacao nibs, vanilla, and poblano peppers lead the nose with softer supporting aromas of candied lemon peel, fresh herbs, and delicate white flowers. The peach leaves offer a subtle bitter almond character in both the aroma and flavor, complementing the soft herbal character of the sage, and rounding out the expression of the coffee. On the palate, the roast is soft and offers depth with notes of barely-burnt caramel and toasted nuts.

Pours a hazy blonde. No real head. Scent is straight up coffee, mild roast, tad green and herbal. Surprisingly fresh, yet heavy at the same time. Grinded (powdered) beans. Taste is sharp, acidic coffee, still a tad green and herbal. Surprisingly fresh, herbaceous, lemon and bright.

At BXL. Hazy yellow. Coffee, quite herbal and funky, wheat, light fruity. Quite unusual flavors. Interesting.

At Snallygaster. Poured a slightly hazy yellow color with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma was some green pepper, light funky notes. Coffee, light herbaceous notes. Mild peppery fruit notes.
