Medium brown. Big toasted hazelnut nose, some chocolate, lots of hazelnut on the palate. Honestly more ferrero rocher than biscotti (which I always associate with almond, correctly or not) to me but I’ll take it, because that light chocolate, coffee and big hazelnut works for me.

On tap at Luppolo, pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is full of rich toasted hazelnuts, a little almonds, some pistachio, and gentle whiskey barrel presence. Flavour is very nutty, with tons of roasted hazelnuts and almonds, moderate roasted malt, and gentle whiskey barrel to round it out. Wonderful incorporation of the nuts. This is masterful.

3oz pour at brewery. Pours very dark brown with almost no head. Aroma has roasted malts, dry whiskey barrels, and toasted nuts. Flavour has is rich and complex, roasted malts, whiskey barrels, and nuts. Very nice.
