Medium brown, big coffee, full body, light vanilla. Not bad. The base beer is what it is and the adjuncts are probably not enough either.

On tap at Luppolo, pours black with a small brown bead. Aroma has rich medium roast espresso beans, light vanilla, and a touch of cocoa, with soft whiskey barrels in back. Flavour is rich, with lots of deep roasted coffee, gentle vanilla, and subtle whiskey barrels still detectable back here. Complex and balanced, yet quite full-on with the adjuncts. Excellent.

Poured from the tap @ Luppolo. Very dark brown with small dark beige head. Lots of coffee upfront, some feint green pepper notes, underlying vanilla. Somehow seems thinner than the Dark Room base. With some better coffee and a touch more body, it would be super solid.

3oz pour at brewery. Pours black with small tan head. Aroma has some roast, mostly coffee beans erring on the side of green pepper. Flavour is more robust with strong whiskey barrel and coffee coming through. Pretty solid.
