355mL can. Pours very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma has nice bread crust malts, toffee, a touch of molasses, raisins, and a good amount of bourbon. Flavour is rich and complex, lots of bread crust and bourbon barrels, toffee, raisins. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth. Very nice.

On tap at Twin Sails, pours a murky dark amber brown with a small beige head. Nose is full of rich bourbon barrels, caramel, brown sugar, and dark fruits. Flavour does not let down, with lots of bourbon barrels upfront, brown sugar, dark fruits, and toffee. Rich and rounded. Complex. An improvement on the previous incarnation of this beer.

Cloudy brown colour, not the best look. Apparently this is a new batch. Aroma of booze and bourbon (7.5). Good malt base, but not as rich as a Barley Wine, more English Strong Ale; strong barrel character, also a lot of alcohol burn, well it's pleasant.

16oz from the brewery (thx, Phill S. for hauling!) shared with Andrey after Friday's gym. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: caramel, some dark fruits, no barrel. Taste: along the same lines, moderately bodied. Overall: ok, nothing spectacular at all, no barrel presence, last year one was better. I suppose they used barrels 2nd time after the stout, it would explain everything.
