Haze, amberish-brown. Thick head. Sticky and with decent bourbon. Soft body, nice fruity note, some smoke phenols...is that the scotch?

5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear brown with off-white head. Aroma has a lovely candied brown sugar, caramel, graham crackers, smoky whiskey. Flavour has tons of caramel, graham crackers, smoky whiskey. The peated whiskey becomes more pronounced the more you drink. This has excellent barrel character, well-integrated into the base beer.

Shared with Farees. Appearance: murky copper with a beige head. Aroma: oak, dark fruits, a bit of booze, maybe. Taste: along the same lines, quite sweet, dusty and earthy, lots of dark fruits and barrel character. Not nicely balanced and smooth, though. Overall: not bad.

Tap at the brewery - hazy light amber - medium-sweet, with a moderate bitterness, light oxidation/sherry, mild oak - a light bit of treacle and candied cherries - a bit of alcohol heat and flavor on the tail end - not as complex as I would like, and a little thin in the finish, but still fairly enjoyable.

On tap at Urban Family, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma reveals lots of smoky whiskey barrels, a touch of red wine, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is full of peated whiskey barrels upfront, followed by a touch of red wine, and dark dried fruits. Really nice barrel character supporting a fine base beer. Excellent.
