4oz pour at Ballard location. Pours nearly black with beige head. Aroma has rich chocolate roasted malts. Flavour has rich roasted malts, cacao. Excellent full-bodied stout.

Black. Thin head. A bit nutty, some malt sweetness. Bitterness but it’s not integrated. This one needs more…something. I think dark sugars.

On tap at Old Stove - Gardens, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is robust, with lots of wood, roasted malt, some bitter hops as well, and a touch of earthiness. Flavour is roasty, with lots of deep roasted malt, some wood, and a big hop backbone. Roasty, clean and smooth. Excellent American stout.
