Though small, by the people was worshipped.
Rolled the sun out each day,
Carried on in this way,
Just so long as he never got flipped!
Beloved by the ancient Egyptians, the Scarab beetle was considered an earthly symbol of rebirth, his daily toils mirroring the sun’s eternal cycle. Unlike the scarab’s desert dwelling, this super-dry beer with its clean thirst-quenching character is ultra-refreshing & reviving.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear pale gold with white head. Aroma has very subtle rice and damp straw. Flavour has straw, slightly cabbagey malts, crisp dry grass. Dry finish. Pretty simple, but refreshing.

Light gold, small white head. Tiny intense bead. Vague malt nose. Gassy, with light malt sweetness , grainy with light bitterness. nice for this style

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a fairly clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is pretty grassy and herbal, with straw and bready malt. Flavour is clean and dry, with a nice grassy hopping, straw and rice. Very dry and clean. Nothing special but very refreshing.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear blonde with small white head. Mild sweetness with a clean simple base. Okay.

Clean, off-dry, light bitterness. The pale malt lends its sugars up front and I’m guessing the rice contributes to the dryness. 3 6 7 3 13. Not my type of beer but they did a good job with it.
