Aged in ripe red wine barrels. We piled mountains of pilsner, spelt and a sprinkling of rye malt into this behemoth to build up sweet dark fruit and caramel notes that finish with a SLAP of rich dark cocoa. Boiled for hours and hours it developed a big creamy body that only hints at the heat that lurks inside. A collab with our friend Evan Cronshaw from Golden, BC.

Pale brown. Thin head. Fruity, toffeeish, very English in character. Soft body with nice fruitiness. Good balance, good bw.

On tap at Farmhouse 2024. Pours murky brown. Aroma has dark brown sugars and caramelized fruit. Flavour has bitter caramel and dark fruits. Better on the nose than on the palate.

On tap at FHF 2024, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of brown sugar, toasted caramel, and some earthiness. Flavour is rather harsh, with burnt sugars, chaotic alcohol, and earthiness. Harsh and burnt finish, but there's some nice maltiness. It's okay.

FHF 2024. Appearance: almost clear copper with a beige head. Aroma: pleasant toffee and sweetness, some nice booze. Taste: a bit thin, quite bitter, no sweetness, some toffee and caramel. Overall: wish it would have more alignment with aroma.
