BBA Imperial Stout with Pecans and Vanilla
The storm continues to pound, but our traveller has no choice but to venture on. In the distance, you see a gaping dark mouth. The cave offers respite but even with a flint there’ll be no fire as everything is frozen, it’ll be dark, cold and damp. Even so, your pace quickens as a way out of the elements grows nearer…
This Imperial Stout was aged in Bourbon Barrels for 12 months and then conditioned on pecan and vanilla pods resulting in thick chocolate notes, backed by vanilla, coconut, whiskey, and oak.

A deep dark imperial stout with a very thin brown head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light vanilla, light licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light vanilla, light whiskey barrel, light woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Smith Street Taps.

Nutty, stingy and sweetish with some hints of wood, oak and syrup, hints of vanilla and cocoa. A bit heavy --- Beer merged from original tick of Give Me Shelter on 09 Feb 2024 at 19:11.
