ABV: 8.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white - beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, dark fruit, raisin, plum, prunes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, raisin, sweet malt, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20181018]

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily. 181018

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, licorice and hops. Nice warm finish.

18/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, light liquorice hops. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Good beer.
