Keg tap at the Burton Town Brewery Tap. Dark gold, bordering on brass, hazy with a ring of off-white head and a lot of lacing. Light aroma of grainy malt, a touch of soft citrus, some dried grass. Tastes incredible: sweet, spicy, insanely malt-heavy and full of character. Finish has a bit of subtle balancing hop. Carbonation on the heavy side but it really works for this beer. Superb beer in a very difficult style.

ABV: 4.5%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, ash notes, light flowers, chamomile ? Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity malt, pale malt, flowers, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181018]

18/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit and grass. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.
