On tap at GG Astoria pours out pale pink color topped with a small head. Nose is nice strawberries and a touch of grassy grain. Taste is more of the nice light berries and malts.

On tap at Wet Dog Cafe / Astoria Brewing, pours a totally opaque cloudy faded orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh strawberries, not a whole lot else. Flavour is similar, with notes of strawberries and crackery notes. Nice enough, but not to my interest. It's okay.

Draught@Wet Dog Cafe, Astoria
Hazy-murky amber color, decent off-white head. Fresh strawberries in the nose. Medium-bodied. Quite dominating real strawberry flavor in this brew. Malty with low bitterness. Leaves kind of salt licorice aftertaste. If you love fruit beers, this is a good one for you.

I had this while on vacation and on my way to the Goonies house in Astoria, OR. I was intrigued by this beer, but after trying my future wife’s Amber Ale I regretted my choice. Appearance is cloudy as hell, a mixture of orange and strawberry with creamy head, looks very fruity like a smoothie. Aroma also very fruity. Taste is dominated by strawberry, slight malt backing, more like a fruit drink than a beer, definite summer beer, OK but not my cup of tea.

Draught. Poured cloudy yelllow with thin fast dissipating head. Much lacing. Fruity aroma, strawberries and citrus. Tart flavour with a strong strawberry tinge. Speedy hop finish, again with a sweet edge.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours like a glass of tangerine juice with a minimal white head and nil lacing as well. Strawberry and raspberry aroma. Light body with a tart fruity character mostly consisting of strawberries. Touches of sweet malt as well. The finish is fruity and soft with a short strawberry aftertaste. Just average overall.

Portland trip. Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a very cloudy light golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was strong sweet and sugary malts with fairly strong strawberry presence. The flavor was wheat and sweet with only a touch of strawberry. Medium finish and body. Decent but the the taste does not live up to the nose.

Hazy beige-blonde. Doesn’t have much aroma. Flavour is a soft & sweet fruitiness and unobtrusive blonde ale background. Admirable restraint, if nothing else.
