Coggleshall Beer Festival. Cask. Almost clear deep brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. The dark malts are accompanied by touches of licorice and marmite. Trace of dark berries and a whisper of esters. Light finish brings a mild bitternes. Okay mild.

ABV: 3.9%. Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, caramel, toffee, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, dark malt, toffee, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181018]

18/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, fruit, sweet malt, hops and nuts. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.
