(On tap @ the brewpub, May 6/23) Pours opaque deep red with basically no head and a little pulpy lace on the (plastic) glass Notes of ripe and preserved raspberries, tart pale berries as well (lactic), juicy semi-sweetened lemonade, limited pip bitterness, sweet-tart into the finish which is long and more lemonade-inflected than the initial impression. Medium-full pulpy body with very little carbonation. Not the most complicated smoothie sour by any means but super-refreshing in the early spring sunshine. Probably underrating this a bit (paired with pizza...not the best match).
A purple ale with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, raspberries, light lemon, light tropical fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity mix of raspberry jam, tart mix of ground cherry and lemon, light tropical fruits, very nice. On tap at brewery.
