Bottle from Longstock Farm Shop and Cafe. Malty arom with some dark berries. Chestnut. Creamy translucent white head clings to the rim. Medium with a zesty sour edge. Fruity. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable characterful bitter. Good stuff.

500ml Bottle - Dark copper in colour. Malty aroma with notes of raisins, caramel and dark bread. Nicely balanced taste with chocolate, raisins, malt and berries. A tasty bitter.

Cask at the Hampshire Ockoberfest, Basingstoke. A golden amber pour with a loose cream head; malty aroma; toasty taste, with a light bitterness. A simple old-fashioned bitter - and there's nothing wrong with that.
