Draught from btiger. Poured a slightly cloudy gold. Fairly herbal aroma and taste. Ok but not spectacular.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a slightly hazed golden color with a medium ivory white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of fruit, hops and bready malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with some malt in the background. Pretty average overall.

Poured up on tap at the Kuhnhenn brewpub with clear light copper body and white head. The aroma puts out floral hop like cotton candy sweetness, mild spiciness and some lager-y yeast. The taste is sweet and gets caramel-y before lager yeast and thick sugary maltiness take over. I’m not picking up much in the way of hoppiness which seems a bit odd since floral hops were noted in the nose. Nice brew nonetheless.

On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a clear golden yellow with a medium off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet grains, leading to a bit of a cereal aroma. Flavor was sweet as well with a grainy cereal sweetness as well.

Sampled at the 2nd annual Michigan Winter Beer Festival, Lansing. My least favorite Kuhnhenn beer, with a rather thin, dry body dominated by caramels and butterscotch, with modest bitter esters. This was a great booth, though.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - I know that many in attendance didn’t care for this beer, but I submit that they were probably not in the mood for a "simple" lager anyway, considering it was a "strong ale" festival - this had a lot of bring fruity notes in the aroma and the flavor - the taste had very mellow, but quite tasty hints of honey and vanilla - notes of pilsner malt, some grassy hops near the finish - I rather enjoyed this one.

Pours a deep yellow-golden color with a good amount of white head. Very lagery aroma of sour hops, slightly metallic aroma as well, but not in a bad way. Starts out quite reserved and picks up in strength as it warms. Good clean lagered flavor of barley, some corn, lighlty sour, lightly bitter, medium body. Alcohol is not perceptible, has an almost syrupy feel to it. Something like lemon in the flavor as well. I will have to try more, quite good though.
