tap at the brewpub - Pours light amber-orange with a lasting off-white head that laces well. There’s lots of caramel in the aroma. The flavor is very sweet and full of caramel with a slightly toasty note.

Bottle. Poured a bleak amber with a creamy head. Aroma had notes of grain and caramel. Flavor had similar malt notes with a bit of hops giving it a bitter finish.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours a dark amber color with a thin ivory head that lasts awhile. Thin rings of lacing. Faint malt and sweet fruit aroma. Smooth, medium body with a sweet caramel malt flavor. Some hops are present, but not a lot. The finish is sweet roasted malt and it doesn’t last long. Not very impressive overall.

On tap at Grizzly Peak. Clearish orange-red body, thin off-white head. Toasty aroma with notes of caramel and brown sugar, light and delicate. Caramely body with toast, dark fruit, and earthy hops. Rather bland and nondescript.

Rich amber red color. The taste sticks to the palate. Not too sweet, but then, not very distinguishing. No caramel notes, more of a tart cherry ale in my opinion, with a few bitter notes. Some metallic twang to the finish, and it did not leave a pleasant aftertaste.
