From the bar. Yellow orange. Foamy. Some grains. Nothing special here. Designed in bulk.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has light sweet grains, a bit of bread and a slight creaminess. Flavor is similarly bready with some sweet grains and a hint of cookie coming through.

On tap at McSorley's Ale House (Macau), pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out syrupy caramel and bready malt, with a sort of malt liquor character. Flavour is weak and vegetal, with bready malt, some syrupy notes, and boiled vegetables. Not too pleasant at all, but I gotta tick something in this beer wasteland, don't I?

From old tasting notes. Labeled as "McSorley’s Cream Ale". Clear amber gold colorwith a whitish, yellow head and a few bubbles. Spicy malt/hop aroma has a touch of fragrance. Foretaste is a fine balance of sweet and spicy malt and bitter hops. Middle is sweet and complex. Finish is of medium dry hops and reminiscent of ginger ale. Light dry aftertaste is brief.

On tap at McSorley’s NYC on 29th July 2011. Quite mild-flavoured, light hoppy and slightly caramelly in aroma and in mouth, refreshing zingy texture but shortlived bittersweet end. A quencher on a day when it was 32C in the shade.

On tap at Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. This bar suppossedly invented buffalo wings and let me say they were delicious but why not have a better tap list? Anyways this was slightly sweet amber with a little metallic taste and was watery.

Virginia Beer Festival. Dark golden color with a thickish head. Aroma was almost non-existant. Not bad, but nothing at all to call home about.

Courtesy of a Porter swilling third party. Thanks man. Poured a very deep clear amber color with weak light brown head. Sweet aroma of sugar candy, sweet sugary malts and hints of molasses. Tastes a little blander than it smells with hints of roasted malts, caramelized malts, sugar (table sugar), molasses and hints of dates and raisins.
