On tap at Founders for their 2004 Harvest Celebration. I liked this beer a bit more than I did the newly-tapped but otherwise similar Harvest Ale. Poured a hazy orange from the cask pull. Pine and citrus hops dominated the aroma, and piney hops also provided most of the flavor profile, rounded out by grapefruit rind and biscuity malt. Had a soapy, creamy mouthfeel the Harvest Ale lacked. I believe this was also hopped with Amarillo hops. A fine APA.

2004 draught at the MBGSF. Pours a pale white gold with a small white head. Aroma of lightly floral hops, pale malt and a bit of bready yeast. Flavor is quite dry, lightly astringent and very hoppy. Not hugely bitter, but pleasingly floral and soft. Malt is there to add body, but little sweetness. That’s ok because it’s spot on for an APA and a lighter one at that.
