2004 Draught at the brewery. Pours a light mahogany brown with some lighter dark yellow tinges. Small light-tan head, moderately clear. Smells of light malt, brown sugar, hints of hops and a soft round nuttiness. Flavor is lightly sweet (caramel malt, brown sugar) hints of dates and figs with a sweet nuttiness. Finish, despite being English, has some good lightly bitter hops, slightly piney. Medium body, soft carbonation, good balance, a bit too much acidity from the fresh hops, though this really isnt a bad thing, just uncharacteristic of the style.
