May 04 batch. Pours a bright godlen with some moderately darker copper tinges. Good white head. Aroma of bitter hops, not earthy or piney, but lightly floral and oily, just bitter and dry. Has some light malt in there as well. I thought the flavor was a lot less bitter than the hops predicted. Very dry and hoppy, with little malting. As it warms caramel malt emerges from within to slightly balance. Though it’s a big, hoppy APA, I thought the palisades were pretty tasty. New hop varietal from the Yakima valley. It’s cool that these guys keep on top of the latest hops strains.
