50cl bottle pours a clear amber, ring of white head. Nose has malt and caramel, a little metal. Flavor has caramel and rotten apples, malt and brown sugar and treacle. Full bodied, sweet finish.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small white head. A big malty nose, some toast and toffee. Sweet, caramel, something like cloves, toffee, no heat. Sweet husky malts. Pretty good. Maybe a bit light somehow despite the ABV.

Bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours clear coppery/ruddy brown with a slight white head. Aroma is heavy darkish malt. Floral notes. Med plus body. Flavor is darkish (but not burnt) malt with a little brown sugar, arguably a herb or spice, and a mild touch of heat. Not dry, but not really sweet. Not very bitter, but heat sort of fills in for that. Overall, it seems quite floral - tho it took a bit for that to sink in. Very nice.
