Power tasting at Matt's; bottle, 9% ABV
Black colour, beige creamy head. Rich with chocolate, toasted coconut, moderately sweet, a touch of maple syrup and fudge; the roast shines through the ending. And finally soome alcohol warmth creeps in.
Very well done. 8 4 8 4 16

750mL bottled pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is very dolce-like, with lots of salt, caramel, vanilla, and coconut. Flavour is very sweet and salt, with cloyingly sweet caramel, plenty of salt, a little coffee, and vanilla. Very sweet, with a nutty and milk chocolatey finish. Cloyingly sweet, but it's a fun dessert beer.

750ml (thx, Chris S.!) at Matt's amenity room. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: tons of vanilla, some coconut, some caramel, very nice. Taste: along the same lines with nutty notes, roasted malts, fruity character, toffy, some brown sugar. Overall: nice.

Capped 750 from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Full bodied. Flavor is toasty coconut at first, quickly followed by a bunch of nuts I can't identify, and then some heat, the chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Dark toasted malt. The flavor order seems to change with each quaff. Not dry, but far from sticky sweet. Not hoppy for me, but the coffee and heat clearly fend off the malt. Perhaps not the best of the MICPs, but certainly in the running.
