Bottle. Pours hazy pinkish amber, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma has hints of acetone, dust, lemon, oak. Flavor is light tart, sharp funk, acetone, no fruit. Whiskey. Merlin body. Notv good

Waxed 750 from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours translucent/hazy ripe plum fruit color (innards, not outards). Aroma is plums (somewhat ripe ones) with a mix of things that seems to include rye spice. Maybe bourbon too. Med body plus a bit. Flavor is not overly ripe plums, with wood that's not too musty, and hints of bourbon and more than a hint of rye spice. It's fairly dry; fairly oaky. Not at all hop bitter, but it is in the moderately bitter range. With time oak astringency gets involved. It's very easy drinking. It would likely be nicer for me if it were a quad, but a plummy tripel is good stuff. Great ale according to my taste.
