330ml bottle @SOPP 2014
Pours dark reddish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of caramely malts, toffee, berries and ripe fruits. Taste is quite massive with loads of bitterness, berries, crisp maltiness, ripe fruits and mild yeastiness. Finish is heavy, sweetish and caramely with loads of bitterness and fruits, some notes of berries too. Pretty massive and impressive. Would be nice to taste an older bottle of this, I would guess that this will age nicely. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pohjoisen Jättiläinen on 24 Jul 2014 at 15:52 - Score: 8. 33 cl bottle @ SOPP Helsinki 2014. Batch #65, BBE 12/2015
Aroma is sweet and heavy with fruity hops and resiny tones and hints of vanilla. Foamy palate. Flavour is also rather sweet with fruity hops, resin, caramel and hints of wood. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. Sweet and heavy, your typical American BW.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch #65 - BB@ 12/15, at SOPP Helsinki 2014) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, sweetness and alcohol. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, sweetness, alcohol, plum and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, boozy and bitter. A good but still a bit harsh barley wine. Aging might help.
