The Smuggler was brewed just to have a more simplistic ale, which would work as an introduction to the ale world for those who haven’t dared trying ales before. Our golden ale is easy to approach. There’s a sweet maltiness meeting a bready edge, but also with some flowery and fruity touch in the aroma. Also the flavour does give a slight fruity and flowery touch with a smooth bitterness to it. We use Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand in this brew, which is also said to have some white wine like tones.

Bottle, huge thanks oh6GOATdx. Hazy amber body, off-white head. Citric, peachy, lean aroma, fresh. Citric, tart, appley notes. Quite drinkable and okay.

0,33l bottle from Prisma Vaasa. Hazy orange beer with good stable head. Aroma has caramel and bread, flavor has caramel, pine and fruits. Good one!

A golden beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has biscuity maltyness, citrus, the hppyness is slightly harsh. Taste has the same aroma's elements, biscuit, citrus and hops. Almost medium bodied. Quite nice.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ (PBF XII Tasting.) by oh6gdx ] - Petalax, Finland. [ As Kvarken The Smuggler ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light grain, moderate yeasty, earthy malt - earthy yeast, bread. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, earthy, damp stain - fusty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, hop bitter, medium dry, leafy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180707] 5-3-5-3-11

Bottled at PBF XII. Hazy deep golden, small head. Leafy fruity nose. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Leafy with some bread. Mid bitter finish.

Drunk from bottle. Smell of fruit, some citrus. Aroma of malt, some paper, hops, a faint of grass. Maltiness dominates. Medium bitter, very dry palate. Lively carbon, light body. Sort of fresh, but paperiness is nasty.

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye i H7 - “Slovak Session” - 7 Des 17. Amber. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum som daler sakte. Bananaroma. Smaken banan & melon. Uvariert.

Many thanks to mjs for a 330ml bottle of this one. B/N003. Close to clear warm golden body. Firm pearl white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Inviting aroma of dark leaves and grain. Forest and leafy hops to the flavour character. Distant hints of resinous bitterness to the ending. Rounded mouth feel. A rather well crafted, tasty brew. 6-4-6-3-13 (Hotel room, Helsinki 30.11.2017).

330ml bottle from Pien. Batch #3. Pours golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of earthy notes, grainy malts, hints of grass, orange and citrus. Taste is sweetish, woody and earthy with some hints of glue, grainy malts and stuffy notes. Finish is stuffy, grassy and earthy with hints of wood and glue. A bit strange.

33cl bottle from Pien. Poured deep golden color with a thin white head. Woody, malty, hints of vegetables in aroma. Woody, malty flavor with mild harsh hops. Not their best. Feels slightly off.
