Pint on nitro? at Sunset Grill, 11/2/2005. Well if this isnt nitro then this is certainly the largest, most dense and wonderful creamy white head I’ve seen in a long time on draught. The beer is clear and brassy-amber. Head is very well-retained with light lacing. Nose has lovely expressive munich malts, with light sweaty and nutty hops. Strong and only lightly bitter, but well integrated with the malt flavors. Light yellow fruits, vanilla and warm sourdough baguette. Very interesting and well done aroma which suggests good things to come. And I’m not disappointed. Flavor is strong of sourish munich malt, with light toasty vienna malt, that does not seem very husky (nice). Lemon-nectarine hops bitterness with just the right amount of malt sweetness with a touch of sweaty, metallic (not really a bad thing) hops flavor. Hops flavor really stays with you on this one, with a yeast that sets up shop in your mouth and builds. A really nice beer, my new favorite from six point. Medium body, only light wateriness on end, with a lively mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. No alcohol apparency. Thinking about it makes me want more!
