Fisherman’s Smoked was the first stronger beer of our brewery. The smoke comes from the malts, of which about 20 % are smoked. Deep brown to the colour with a pale brown foamy head the beer is strongly maltbased, which gives both a malty sweetness which blends together with the smoke. The recipe was developed with food in mind.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy brown with a rough, beige head. Roasty nose, a tad vanilla. Medium body, a dry roastiness with a hint of licorice and tobacco. But smoky? Not really. Dry finish with no real bitterness. Just a Stout really. 050625

A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has smooth smokyness, some caramel and beadyness. Taste has liquorice, smoke, smoothness. Medium bodied. Good beer, enough of smoke and still easy to enjoy.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ (PBF XII Tasting.) by oh6gdx ] - Petalax, Finland. [ As Kvarken Fisherman's Smoked ].Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, toffee, sweet malt, smoked note. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, toffee, ash, dark malt, milky - creamy touch, light roasted, smoke notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20180707]

Bottled at PBF XII. Dark mahogany colour, mid sized head. Chocolaty nose with relatively mild smoke. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and smoked ham, notes of tar. Mid bitter finish. Harmonious and tasty.

Bottled @ ISKTR 2017. Poured near black in color with a thick off white head. Nice smoke, some ash, slight vegetable notes. Not that disturbing, but it’s there. Flavor has sweetnees, smoke, tar candy. Sweet finish.
