Draught sample at ABF on 6/16/07
Soft-toned, white-gold body with lemon tints is transluscent and topped by a feeble, white head that leaves blotchy lacing at best.
Dry, creamed-wheat in the nose is joined by a hint of citrus tartness and some moderate bubble gum esters. Seems rather doughy and bland, with only a medium to medium-low aroma strength. No flaws however.
Light-bodied, though with a chewy wheat texture and very strongly attenuated. Would be more crisp, but a doughiness/blandness sits on the finish and the carbonation is strong, but simply pronounces the blandness and wateriness emerges in between. Anyways, I’m being much too harsh, the beer is very competent, just brewed in such a large batch that the malt is left behind somewhat, and the delicate yeast character a little underplayed. Lots of wheat though....

Sampler from tap at the brewpub in Boston. Pours yellow, unclear with a lacing head. Spiced and bubblegum aroma.flavour is sweet dry coriander spiced. Mild dry bitter finish. Ordinary/solid belgian brew but far from the originals.
