Draught at Brickseller, Washington DC
Cloudy blond color; big head. Aroma of peach syrup. The flavor reminds me more a watered peach drink than a beer, plus some bitterness. Drinkable, but useless as beer.

Draught at ABF on 6/16/07
Chill-hazed, light peach-gold color with a nice glow to it. Off-white head is firm and mostly well-retained, leaving light lacing.
Not intensely sweet in the nose, so that was a good start. Actually has a touch of peach tartness dryness to speak of, though some candy sweetness shows up on the finish. Vanilla and caramel flavors from the malt are slightly sweet in the nose as well, while there is a buttercreaminess that emerges (from the peaches). No alcohol or flaws in the nose. Nothing complex, but it’s simple and pleasant enough.
Actual tartness, though very, very reserved comes from the peaches, I guess, as there isnt any Belgian yeast flavor here. But the malts are chewy, not syrupy and sticky, and the peach flavor is true enough. Vanilla, light caramel and a slight mustiness that I couldnt identify. I immediately took this as a fruit beer, and in that sense, it’s quite good. The high carbonation helps fight back the sweetness and keep it spritzy. A whole hell of a lot better than the framboise, that’s for sure.

Sample from tap at the brewery. Pours hazy yellow with creamy off white head. Citric fruity aroma, sliht barnyard and candy notes. Flavour is candy peachy, not sweet but just mildly citric to sour. Mellow lambic. Very nice.

Pours bright gold into a tumbler. Bright white micro head with excellent retention. Aroma like a freshly opened peach - complete with fuzz. Upfront muted peach, quickly turning to a slightly flat and watery aspirin sour/tartness. Back to peach pit and on to a lasting, dry finish. Like a peach BerlinerWeisse.
