Draught at Portland Craft, Vancouver
Dark blond color. Dry but quite smooth; flavor of malt and straws; the hops are a bit herbaceous, with a touch if citrus and chamomile; flowery.
Clean and pleasant, fresh.

Draught at Brouwer’s Cafe, 11/8/15.
Good clarity in this lime-tinted bronze beer with a small but well-retained white head.
Some light stonefruits quickly give way to lime-like citrus character with softer fruitiness creating a more apple and strawberry-like character in conjunction with the pale malts. No obnoxious pine resin or caramel/crystal malts to bother the hop notes. The beer is indeed bright, crisp and aromatic.
In the flavor, there’s a medium-full bodied dextrinous texture with good attenuation and dank and herbal hop notes giving way to stronger citrus and a touch of pine-like character. But it never gets too bitter nor resinous. While it’s not too sweet, like say, All Day IPA, it’s still got a lot of oomph to the body and resulting bitterness to match. I don’t see why most session IPAs have to have a nearly full body to them. Anyways, clean and very drinkable and another good beer from Pfriem.

On tap at Portland Craft, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose brings out dry crackery malt, dry floral notes and a slight metallic quality. Flavour is similar but a little juicier, with piney hops, some floral notes, and a dusty dry crackery malt backing. Not too much a metallic quality, which I'm glad about. Well-balanced, standard session IPA. Good stuff.
