Heidelberg and German Pilsener malts are the backbone for this clean, crisp German-style lager. A gentle malt sweetness is balanced by Hallertau Mittelfruh hops making for a spicy, bright finish.

Draught at the brewery, 11/7/15.
Clear, bright, nearly pencil-yellow liquid shows moderate carbonation and a firm white head.
Spicy, herbal hop notes open up the nose with fresh bread dough, just a touch of citrus and delicate honey behind them. Clean and no alcohol.
Crisp, moderately bitter, spicy hallertaus are used liberally and contribute a delightful flavor as sweat, honey and bread dough fill in the gaps and balance nicely. Ample, tight carbonation puts the finishing touches on it and I’m left quite impressed by this unassuming, very light, but very flavorful and well-attenuated example of the style. The malt character is so important in these beers, even though it should still be on the dry side. They really nail that here. Yum.
