Draught at the brewpub, 11/1/15.
Good clarity in the brassy-copper liquid, with just a slight chill haze. White head atop is medium-sized and retained at cover.
Sourdough-like maltiness, lemons, orange rind and moderate amounts of floral hops are given off in the nose. Not incredibly aromatic and perhaps a touch overshadowed by a fairly strong, doughy-sweet pale maltiness. No alcohol, nor flaw.
Quite a strong mix of sourdough-like maltiness and dry, bitter, citrusy (mostly lemon) hops. There’s sweetness through the middle and lingering on the end and the body is certainly nearing full, mostly on account of the light underattenuation. I wouldn’t call it worty, but this could be a lot more dry and use a lot less bittering hops. Bready malt notes, citrus and light honey all on the finish. Ample carbonation, perhaps a bit much and quite sharp.
