Draught at Pro Pig, 3/15/14
Amber colored beer is very, very hazy, would go as far as to say cloudy. Off-white head is full and recedes fairly quickly to cover.
Light caramel malts are somewhat bready in the nose, while quite a bit of fruitiness is given off from the hops, though it ends rather abruptly and somewhat dry due to the heavy sediment presence.
Flavor is very affected by the heavy sediment, dulling the otherwise moderate hoppiness and giving it a strong earthy and nutty taste. Otherwise clean, though and just a light and drinkable pale ale. Nothing crazy going on here, as some others may have alluded to, just a case of too much yeast and hop particulate still in suspension. Just needs to cold condition longer.
