This is a re-imagined version of the original Sierra Nevada beer. Brewed to commission our first brewery, and to kick start every brewhouse after, this stout has the perfect balance of roasted malt character and citrusy hop flavor.

Draft pour at Stratford Garden. Poured a dark cola, almost pitch black color with a small ecru head. Wow. This is a straightforward stout, but it is really, really flavorful. Especially when it's just 'a beer'. No adjuncts, no barrel aging. Huge roast, chocolate malt! This is very, very good for being a completely straightforward beer.

Mills River. Earthy, hazy, dark brown pour with a scummy cookie head. Charcoal, cola nose. Charred challah, piney stiff hops, flour, lingering char. Stiff carb, minerally texture. Very rough & west coast.
