12/15/2017. Chocolatey crispy stout. Really comes off as a Logsdon stout, guess the water really comes out on all their beer. Chocolate front and everywhere. Kinda like a milk stout. Not much bourbon.

Capped 750 from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and bourbon. Full bodied for me. Flavor is very chocolate, with dark malt, earth, bourbon, wood and something like a vinous note. The flavors sort of slosh back and forth. Seems a little different with each imbibement. This isn't just dark malt. Bourbon builds up. There's a hint of sourish wine; might be my imagination. Drier than expected, but definitely not dry. Not bitter, but the earth/wood/chocolate stand in for that to an extent. And now BFM just came to mind. Which makes little sense - must be the wood. A tasty and rather mouth-smacking ale.

On tap at Dark Arts. Pours a pitch black color with a small white head. A big sweet vinous fruity nose. Light bourbon heat, really tastes like red wine, sweet cacao, roast. Works really well.
