Tap at Cap Tap 6th Ann. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is sort of brown sugar/treacle. Full bodied. Flavor is more brown sugar than anything. There’s a musty wood note, but no indication of barrel. This does not match any particular style I’m familiar with. However, it is developing a flavor that is acceptable. Might be some earthy, not too dark chocolate. Not at all dry. There is some bitterness. The ale and I are all over the place here.
