Tap at Cap Hop. Pours dark ruddy/amber (cherry red?) with a head that seems to be a little pinkish. Aroma is lightly tart/sour cherry. Med body plus a bit. Flavor is dry, musty wood, tart cherry, and arguably a few other things. Has a slight BFM “solvent” note. Here that note works well. Not a typical kriek to me, but it’s very good strong ale.

Draft. Reddish beer with a pinkish cream head. Light sour and light cherry aroma. Cherry and sour flavor. Medium bodied. Cherry and sourness lingers with light oak and rich malt backing.

On tap at the brewpub Sf. Clear golden / light orange coloured pour with a fine white head, fading to a halo. Aroma is composed of sweet grains, Belgian blonde yeast, light fruity esters, flavour is composed of Belgian blonde yeast, semi sweet grains, biscuit, light apple and cherry fruits, warming alcohol. Little alcohol bite in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, frothy carbonation, biting finish. Not much fruit character.
