22oz bottle I lugged back from San Diego, pours a dark brown with some khaki head. Nose has stale toast, malt, barrel, wood shavings. Flavor has the wood and bread and malt, black tea too. Full bodied finish.

Bottle at a mini-RB gathering in November. Poured a dark brown color, almost black with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, chocolate malts. Bitterness, with a little bit of alcohol.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy dark brown with a large foamy/creamy dark tan head. Aroma of dark treacle and chocolate. Not quite full bodied, IMHO. Flavor is earthy dark chocolate and dark treacly malt. Not getting coffee - but chocolate is strong enough to cover such. Heat is not bothersome. Throw in graham crackers and we got s'mores. Tasty ale indeed.
