Pint at Cap Tap. Pours rather translucent amber witha creamy light tan head. Aroma is somewhat roasty malt and a lot of hop. Very citrus. Arguably some tropicals. Hints at dank. Med + body. Flavor is dank, seemingly grapefruit and some lightly, lightly toasty malt. Amazing the malt stands forth, given all the hop. In some respects the malt is making me think this is an UK bitter on Hop steroids. It is quite different from most IPAs I’ve had recently. In a good way. Not juicy. Not exactly delicious. Fairly dry. Suddenly I’m thinking of earthy rye hopped ale. Maybe there is a spice component. Intriguing and good stuff. Made to go with pretzels. Know that.
