A New Zealand pale ale using some of our favourite hops from the region. Kohatu hops bring some fresh crushed pine needle aroma to the beer with hints of tropical fruits, with Nelson Sauvin imparting white grape, tangerine and grapefruit notes. Light in body but full in flavour, this is an ideal crisp and refreshing pale ale.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with a fluffy, white head. Lightly sweet with subtle tangy lemon, lean pale malts, nips of pine needles, grapefruit pith. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, further citric fruits, pith and rind. So so.

Can bought at Garsons Farm Shop, West End. Aroma of citrus and stone fruit sieved through cardboard. Opaque hazy pale golden orange. Bubbly foamy white head. Light-medium bitter with a sherbert infused sour streak. The sourness peaks. There's stone fruit in there. As per the aroma there's damp squib cardboard malts. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Fine. Just not the complete article.
