A bold and bitter classic West Coast Pale Ale hopped with Centennial and dry-hopped with Simcoe for notes of orange and pine, Cottonwood delivers all the flavours and aromas we associate with the style. There's something about the piney citrus notes coupled with a robust bitterness that makes us happy, and reminds of lovely holidays spent in California and Oregon. Take a sip and dream of endless sunshine.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden yellow with ample white head and good lacing. A fairly strong sweet but hoppy nose. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and sugary with a malty base. But there is also a sharpness there – apricots maybe ? Finish is quite bitter. Pretty likeable.

Crowler from A Hoppy, Windsor. Aroma had sweet edged stone fruit. Pine. Amber-gold. This bubbly translucent white head. Bitter hit. Full on. Quinine and resin. Underlying tart stone fruit. A hint of sugar/syrup somewhere in the depths. Light-medium bodied. Slick. A touch oily. Flat carbonation. Somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable enough.
